We are currently looking for a laboratory technician to assist us in our laboratory during the summer.

The Technical Administration has its own water and wastewater laboratory with four employees, who analyze samples from the central wastewater treatment plant in Kristianstad - one of the larger ones in Sweden - and about ten smaller plants. Kristianstad Municipality is in an expansive phase with many developments and renovations of our facilities. The laboratory is an important part of optimizing our facilities to meet emission requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main tasks include performing:

• physical-chemical analyses
• documenting and reporting results
• participating in other tasks at the laboratory.

QUALIFICATIONS

We require that you have at least started post-secondary or higher education, such as biomedical analyst, chemical engineer, chemist, or equivalent education that the employer considers relevant. Experience working in a chemical/biological laboratory, preferably within water/wastewater, is an advantage. We also prefer that you are good at collaborating and approach tasks methodically and systematically.

OTHER

The Technical Committee is responsible through the Technical Administration for the development, construction, and management of the municipality's public spaces and buildings. The committee is also tasked with organizing municipal water and wastewater supply (VA) and is the road authority for municipal roads.
